All Sports Camp

Grades K-6

This summer, Lafayette Sports Center is offering an all sports camp for grades K-6. The camps are designed so that children can sample a number of different sports, experience the fun of learning to play sports in a safe environment and practice new ways of moving and controlling their bodies.
Our summer camps are designed for children with a true interest in a variety of sports and recreational activities. Open to boys and girls ages 6 to 13, this multi-sport camp helps to plant the seeds for a healthy future and a lifetime of sports participation.
Daily camp activities include drills and games for a multitude of sports such as tennis, soccer, flag football, baseball/softball, lacrosse, kickball, and more!

COST
$160/week. Discount for multiple children $150/child/week

CAMP PHILOSOPHY
• All children are athletes
• All children can succeed in age appropriate sports
• Emphasis will be placed on sportsmanship and team-work
• Campers will learn through a building of skills, which will ensure their individual enjoyment, confidence and success in each sport
• Campers will be encouraged to try new things and explore new ways of doing things
• All sessions will be run by qualified collegiate or
professional instructors
• Our philosophy can be summed up in these words “Sports are FUN!”

OBJECTIVES
• To teach young children the basics of all sports and introduce them to a variety of different kinds of
sports.
• To focus on the positive in presenting the various
aspects of sports.
• To instill in young athletes the excitement and fun of playing sports.
• To create an atmosphere of success and a desire for personal achievement.
• To have campers achieve a higher level of confidence both in the way they are able to move, and in the way they approach life.
• To teach life-skills through sports.

TYPICAL CAMP SCHEDULE
8:30-8:45 Arrive
9:00-9:50 Warm up, stretches, footwork, and form
10:00-10:50 Sport rotation
11:00-11:30 Break and snack
11:30-12:30 Sport rotation
12:30-1:30 Lunch
1:30-2:30 Sport rotation
2:30-3:30 Sport rotation
3:30-3:50 Free play
4:00 Depart

Sports: Tennis, Soccer, Lacrosse, Touch Football, Frisbee, Baseball/Softball, Kickball, Dodgeball

Recognition and awards at 3:00pm Friday. Camp ends at 4:00pm each Friday.

After School Camp

GRADES 1-8

Beginning November 2007, the After School Camp at Lafayette Sports Center offers a unique blend of physical activity, team building, sports, homework support and fun!

BENEFITS
• NO School NO Problem: (School cancellations, Vacation days, In-service days, Professional development days) Children can attend camp ALL DAY - at no extra charge.
• Holiday/Vacation Weeks: Children can attend a Lafayette Sports Center Vacation Camp (ALL DAY/ALL WEEK) - at no extra charge.
• 1 Free Camp Week: Enjoy one of our week- long summer camps (Funtime, Soccer, Lacrosse, Baseball) - at no extra charge.
• Camp Discount: Enjoy one of our summer camps at the weekly rate price.

THE LESSON PLAN
Arrival (12.00-3:30pm): Parent/Guardian arranges to have children transported to Lafayette Sports Center by school bus, car, or Lafayette Sports Center Van.
Snack: Children choose from a Parent/ Guardian approved snack list.
Activities: Children participate in daily exercise programs and group activities such as kickball, dodge-ball, wiffle-ball, tag, capture the flag, medic, arts & crafts
Instruction: Children receive formal coaching in team sports such as soccer, baseball and softball.
Homework: Children are provided with time to complete homework assignments and have access to educational assistance.
Pick-up (5:00 - 5:30pm): Parent/Guardian arranges for pick up at Lafayette Sports Center

TUITION
$69.00 a week Grades 1-8th.
